Overview

About the Toshiba IPT1020-SD

The IPT1020-SD was one of Toshiba's first network-connected desk phones. Instead of a digital station port it talks to the phone system over IP using the MEGACO protocol, which let businesses put phones anywhere the data network reached.

Its layout will feel familiar to anyone who has used a DKT2020-SD: 20 one-touch buttons with red/green LEDs, a two-line display and a speakerphone. It was only built for two years, so spares are limited, and it is a common candidate for replacement when a CTX or CIX site moves to the cloud.

Highlights

  • 20 one-touch buttons for lines, extensions and features, each with a red/green LED
  • 8 dedicated keys for message, mic, speaker, speed dial, redial, conference/transfer, volume and hold
  • 2-line, 24-character display with 4 control keys and 4 soft keys
  • Caller ID with date, time and call-duration display
  • Personal and system speed-dial lists

Replacing a Toshiba IPT1020-SD

When it's time to retire the IPT1020-SD, these current Yealink phones are the closest match on smplVoice cloud voice, with the same kind of buttons, display and speakerphone, plus modern security and remote-work features.
