About the Toshiba Strata CTX
Toshiba launched the Strata CTX in 2002 to replace the top of the DK range: the CTX100 took over from the DK40i and the CTX670 from the DK424i. The new platform added capacity, networking between sites and much tighter voicemail integration, and it introduced the 3000-series digital telephones and a dedicated Attendant Console.
The CTX is a transitional platform. It still runs digital DKT phones on ordinary station wiring, but it was also Toshiba's first real step toward IP, with IPT telephones, the SoftIPT softphone and SpectraLink wireless handsets. Many CTX sites today are a mix of both, which makes troubleshooting a job for someone who knows each side.

CTX systems are often the first ones owners decide to retire, because the IP side is showing its age. smplVoice can replace the CTX outright or run alongside it while you move departments over.
