About the Toshiba Strata CIX
The Strata CIX (Communication Integrated eXchange) was Toshiba's second-generation IP platform, first shipped as the CIX200 Release 3.0 in 2005. It uses peer-to-peer IP based on the MEGACO+ protocol and added SIP phone compatibility, which let businesses mix digital desk phones, IP phones and remote workers on one system.
The family covers almost every size of business. The CIX40 (2006) replaced the CTX28, and the range scales through the CIX100, CIX200 and CIX670 up to the CIX1200, with room for up to 440 trunks, 1,000 telephones and 1,152 ports. That flexibility is why so many CIX systems are still in daily use.

Thinking about what comes after your Strata CIX?
CIX owners often move to the cloud in stages. smplVoice can take over SIP trunking and remote users first, then replace the cabinet when the time is right.
