Overview

About the Toshiba DKT2004-CT

The DKT2004-CT brought cordless calling to Toshiba digital systems in 1996. Its base plugs into a digital station port, and the handset can act as its own extension or share one with a desk phone so calls follow you around the office.

Spread-spectrum radio gave it two to three times the range of the analog cordless phones of the day and made it very hard to eavesdrop on. Battery life is modest by today's standards: roughly three hours of talk time.

Highlights

  • Spread-spectrum radio across 9 channels, with two to three times the range of analog cordless phones
  • 4 programmable buttons that mirror the first four buttons on a DKT port
  • Works as a standalone extension or shares one with a digital desk phone
  • About 3 hours talk and 42 hours standby per charge
  • Headset jack, 3 handset volumes, 2 ring levels and vibrate
  • Works on Strata DK, CTX and CIX (not DK24/56/96 Release 3)
